Password protection is supported by all dynamic QR code types - all free to create with ZodQR.
How to create a QR code with password
To use password protection on your QR codes, you need to generate QR code from Dashboard:
- Create a dynamic QR code from Dashboard. Enter its content.
- At Config step, enable Password option in Restrict QR scan section. Then enter password you want for the QR. Finish QR code creation with styling. Password-protected QR code will have a lock icon at the corner of QR image.
- When visit this QR code, user will be asked for correct password before access the QR content.
Update / Remove password for a QR code
To update or remove password for a QR code, select QR you want to update from Dashboard, then click Config button. You can disable password completely, or update new password for your QR.
Customize password page
Password protection is free to use for all users. But if you want to custom password page with your own text and image, you can upgrade to Plus plan or above. Plus plan also remove ZodQR branding on all QR codes.
To customize password page, open config for password-enabled QR code, then select Custom password page option and update the page as you need.
